Resilient Hearts empower young adults with developmental disabilities to equip them with essential skills for independent living.
Resilient Hearts is not yet a PDD-approved organization. However, as of May 3, 2024, Resilient Hearts is included on the Government of Alberta's resource list. This means we are authorized to provide services to individuals or their loved ones who receive government funding.
Resilient Heart is community service organization that support individuals with developmental disabilities. We are not a non-profit organization.
Resilient Hearts offers community access services, including a life skills day program and respite services, to individuals aged 16 and older with developmental delays.
Resilient Hearts accepts funding from FSCD, PDD, and AISH. Additionally, participants have the option to pay privately.
Unfortunately, Resilient Hearts does not offer direct billing at this time. Participants are required to pay out of pocket and then submit their receipts to their worker for reimbursement. This is because Resilient Hearts is not yet an approved PDD (Persons with Developmental Disabilities) organization.
Interested candidates are encouraged to apply by completing our standard application form (attached). This form is required for all our programs and services to help us better understand each individual and determine how we can best support their needs. Applications can be conveniently submitted online here.
Once the application is received, our team will review it and reach out to the candidate promptly.
We also recommend that participants or their care providers, such as family members, schedule a meet-and-greet with our program staff before enrolling. This meeting offers an opportunity to learn more about our programs, explore our offerings, and ensure that Resilient Hearts is the right fit for them and their loved ones.
Yes, Resilient Hearts utilizes the same form for both the Day Program and Respite Services. You can complete our online form HERE
Alternatively, participants or guardians may complete the attached paper version of the intake form and send it to intake@resilienthearts.ca.
There is no referral process required for participants or their guardians to access our programs and services.
If you are part of an organization, please complete the online referral form HERE. Alternatively, organizations may submit the attached referral document or email us at intake@resilienthearts.ca to introduce the participant or guardian.
