Resilient Hearts is a social enterprise that empowers young adults with developmental disabilities while employing equity-deserving groups, including youth, newcomers, and people with disabilities.
Resilient Hearts provide community access services such as Life Skills Day Program,(https://www.resilienthearts.ca/life-skills-day-program) Respite Services (https://www.resilienthearts.ca/respite-services)and Sensory Room.(https://www.resilienthearts.ca/sensory-room) Resilient Hearts also offer innovative trainings for people with disabilities through its initiatives (https://www.resilienthearts.ca/initiatives)to fill service gaps in the community such as Entrepreneur Abilities,(https://www.resilienthearts.ca/entrepreneur-abilities) and SafeForce.(https://www.resilienthearts.ca/safeforce)
Additionally, Resilient Hearts also provide rental workspace and space booking (https://www.resilienthearts.ca/book-our-space)for trainings, meetings, workshops, and small events
Resilient Hearts supporting individuals with develpmental or intellectual disabilities who are at least 16 years of age.
Resilient Hearts is not yet a PDD-approved organization. However, as of May 3, 2024, Resilient Hearts is included on the Government of Alberta's resource list. This means we are authorized to provide services to individuals or their loved ones who receive government funding under FMS model.
No exemption letter is required from PDD worker to enroll in our services.

Resilient Hearts accepts FMS funding under FSCD and PDD. Additionally, participants have the option to pay privately.
Unfortunately, Resilient Hearts does not offer direct billing at this time. Participants are required to pay out of pocket and then submit their receipts to their worker for reimbursement. This is because Resilient Hearts is not yet an approved PDD (Persons with Developmental Disabilities) organization.
Interested candidates are encouraged to apply by completing our standard application form (attached). This form is required for all our programs and services to help us better understand each individual and determine how we can best support their needs. Once the application is received, our team will review it and reach out to the candidate promptly.
We also recommend that participants or their care providers, such as family members, schedule a meet-and-greet w(https://outlook.office.com/book/Service@resilienthearts.ca/?ismsaljsauthenabled)ith our program staff before enrolling. This meeting offers an opportunity to learn more about our programs, explore our offerings, and ensure that Resilient Hearts is the right fit for them and their loved ones.

Alternatively, participants or guardians may complete the attached paper version of the intake form and send it to intake@resilienthearts.ca.()
There is no referral process required for participants or their guardians to access our programs and services.
