Positive Behavior Support
PBS
Positive Behaviour Support is a person-centred, evidence-based framework for understanding and responding to behaviours of concern. This training provides professionals with practical tools to conduct functional assessments, develop individualized support plans, reduce reliance on restrictive practices, and achieve meaningful, lasting outcomes that uphold the dignity and rights of the individuals they support.
Abuse Prevention Response Protocol
APRP
This two-hour workshop addresses the prevalence and recognition of abuse affecting individuals with developmental disabilities. Participants develop proactive prevention strategies and gain a clear understanding of reporting obligations, documentation procedures, and the steps required to ensure immediate safety when abuse is suspected or disclosed.
Non-violent Crisis Intervention
CPI
The Crisis Prevention Institute's Nonviolent Crisis Intervention program is internationally recognized as a standard of care for safe crisis management. Participants learn to identify escalating behaviour at its earliest stages, apply evidence-based verbal de-escalation techniques, and respond to crises in a manner that preserves the safety, dignity, and well-being of all parties involved.

Mental Health First Aid
Equipping participants to recognize and respond appropriately to signs of declining mental health in adults.

Standard First Aid & CPR
Canadian Red Cross Standard First Aid and CPR Level C certification equips participants to respond confidently to medical emergencies in workplace and community settings. Course content includes primary and secondary assessment, CPR and AED operation, wound management, choking, and recognition of common medical conditions. Certification is valid for three years and meets the requirements for most regulated care environments in Alberta.
Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training
ASIST — a two-day, internationally recognized suicide first-aid workshop for caregivers and front-line professionals.
